Phoenix Sister Cities is pleased to announce that The Teatro Massimo Vincenzo Bellini, direct from Catania, Italy, will stage a performance of Vincenzo Bellini’s and other arias of Italian operatic composers October 5, 2007 in Phoenix at the historic Orpheum Theater.

The program will showcase three soloists frequently featured with The Teatro Massimo Vincenzo Bellini, accompanied by 20 musicians from the Theater and the Phoenix area. One of the soloists is the renowned Greek soprano Dimitra Theodossiou, well known for her interpretation of the Verdi oeuvre; she will be joined by Nidia Palacios, an Italian mezzo-soprano and Giorgio Casciarri, an Italian tenor, for this very special, one-time event.
